At our meeting on Tuesday, June 13, Art Chen will return to speak on GE's fall from prominence into three smaller companies. Art will also offer thoughts on GE's recovery.
Art Chen is a retired GE Senior Executive who led GE's effort to develop the first whole-body CT scanner, thus launching the rapid growth of GE Medical Systems. He later built a world-class Information Systems Laboratory at GE Corporate and developed a corporate R&D program to inject high technology into GE Capital. Art has spoken to our group twice before, including a talk on China's growth and goals, having spent his childhood in China. Art has been active in community, state, and national organizations as well.
