At our meeting on Wednesday, September 23, Lou Terranova will provide an update on military engines and their technology. Lou Terranova is Executive Systems Leader of the Systems Technology Integration Organization. Lou’s group is responsible for the development of military engine technologies for flight demonstrator programs and future products. Previously, Lou was Executive Chief Consulting Engineer, providing leadership for multiple programs including the F404-104, F414-400K, CT7-8E6 and GE100. He also lead the design and systems teams in Prague for the H80 and M601 turboprop engines.
Lou’s career has spanned numerous product lines including C/T58, C/T64, CF34, F404, F412, F414, T700 and CT7-8. His engineering roles have included Mature Engines Bearings Seals and Drives design, F404/F412 HPT & LPT module design, TSTP Life Management, F404/F414 RPCoE Leader, CT7-8 Chief Engine Designer, CT7-8C Model Engineer and Sub-Section Manager for the CT7-8 Platform Team. He was an AEED Blackbelt and worked in the Aviation Variable Cost Productivity Lab.
Lou holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Villanova University, and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from MIT. Lou enjoys following Patriots and Red Sox, classic cars and travelling. Lou and his wife Lisa have three grown children - Michael, Mia and David.
